| Due to limitations in the way SchoolFusion processes the automated Recent Activity and Daily Digest email, homework, files, calendar events, etc. posted AFTER 1 p.m. will not be included in the Recent Activity and Event Digest email for the day. Therefore, if a teacher has told students that they have a homework assignment at the end of class but it isn’t posted until 3 p.m., then it will not show up in the email. To avoid missing critical and updated information to teacher sites, parents and students are encouraged to login to the system at any time to access the “My Family” (for parents) and “My Classrooms” (for students) links for current information, as well as to sign up for a personalized RSS feed. |

Announcements  Robin Grotheer Receives 2009 Above and Beyond AwardRobin Grotheer, school counselor at Benton Middle School, was selected for an Office of Student Services 2009 Above and Beyond Award. The award was presented at the Office of Student Services Back to School Symposium on August 14.
A proponent for change, Robin Grotheer saw a need in her school community and responded to it. The Military Pride Club which Ms. Grotheer initiated serves students from the families of active duty soldiers and retired military members. The club’s program includes awareness activities such as “Understanding the Military,” which includes baking cookies after school and shipping them to deployed soldiers, creating cards and notes for those deployed, providing Veteran’s Day corsages for teachers with former military service, maintaining a Military Pride bulletin board in the cafeteria, and participating in a health fair and international fair in order to request donations to ship cookies overseas.
Credit-Bearing Course Grade RemovalRequests to have a high school credit-bearing course grade removed from a student's transcript must be submitted in writing to the high school principal and should include the reason for the request. Requests may not be submitted prior to the completion of the course.
